Unexpected Heroes series (Kaiatan)
Q: What is xaffac? I can’t find it in a dictionary.
A: Not in a Terran one, anyway. Xaffac is a kind of desert berry that grows on a scrubby bush in Iskra. It’s small, round, reddish-purple, and to Terran tastebuds would taste a bit like tangy cran-raspberry.
